Lordina Foundation supports hearing assessment of children

The Lordina Foundation, in line with its commitment to the health of children, has supported the Anglican Diocese of Accra and Adoa Media Consult in its fundraising efforts to provide immediate medical care to children diagnosed of hearing impairments.
At a programme, Ephphatha Himnofest 2019, organized to raise funds for a hearing assessment screening and provide medical treatment, former First Lady and President of the Lordina Foundation, Lordina Dramani Mahama pledging her Foundation’s support towards the cause.
The Anglican Diocese of Accra and Adoa Media Consult is also hoping to procure and provide hearing aids to children with hearing loss.
Mrs. Mahama in a speech, read for her by the Board Secretary of the Foundation, at the Ephphatha Himnofest 2019 urged all present to alleviate the burden of hearing loss on society by educating the populace on preventive measures such as infection control and the avoidance of excessive noise.
She congratulated the organisers for the initiative noting that “it is important to put hearing loss in the forefront of our national health care agenda.”
The Lordina Foundation also supported the cause with an undisclosed amount of money.
